Venttup, a Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM)-incubated Industries 5.0 startup, has raised $3 million (over ₹28 crore) in a Pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter by Zerodha and Unicorn India Ventures.

The Kochi-based company will use the fresh capital to expand its operations across renewable energy, defence, aerospace and space sectors. The funding will support projects across the entire manufacturing process, from engineering design and development to validation and large-scale production.
The company plans to expand its engineering team in Kochi and establish a precision manufacturing facility and rapid prototyping infrastructure at the High-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park in Bengaluru. It will also invest in technology and artificial intelligence to improve B2B sourcing, supplier intelligence and operational efficiency.
Co-founder and CEO Sandeep Nair said Venttup is building an engineering-led manufacturing model in partnership with micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Its mission, ‘India for India, India for the World’, focuses on strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and positioning India as a reliable global manufacturing partner.
Founded by Sandeep Nair, M. Wasim Ankli and Joseph Panakkal, Venttup brings together industry experience from companies including Hitachi Energy, Siemens, L&T and Kalpataru Power.
Revenue Grows Five-Fold
Venttup has recorded a five-fold increase in revenue since its seed funding round in 2024, reaching ₹10 crore in FY2025-26. Over the past 12 months, it has added more than 15 blue-chip companies to its customer base and built a business opportunity pipeline of approximately ₹30 crore across new energy, mobility and smart infrastructure.
The startup is focusing on four areas: energy transition and data centres; aerospace, defence and space systems; smart infrastructure and future mobility; and electronics, automation and smart manufacturing.
Venttup aims to support original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and emerging technology companies through engineering development, rapid prototyping and precision manufacturing.
The investors said the expansion could help address the need for reliable supply chains among India’s deep-tech and hardware startups and manufacturing companies.
