Kerala-based gaming technology startup ARC has raised ₹10.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Chimera VC and MIXI Global Investments, with participation from Dhruv Vohra of Meta APAC in his personal capacity.

Founded by Jobin Joseph and Kaustubh K. Jadhav, ARC is developing ARC X1, a portable gaming system combining proprietary hardware and software. The device runs on the company’s OWL OS and is designed to support Android gaming, PC-game compatibility and cloud gaming.
The fresh capital will support hardware engineering, product validation, manufacturing and supply-chain readiness, along with further development of OWL OS and ARC’s gaming software platform. The startup will also expand its team, go-to-market efforts and strategic partnerships.
ARC has crossed 50,000 waitlist sign-ups and is working with Qualcomm ahead of the commercial launch. The company is currently testing the product with gamers and using their feedback to refine the device.
