Northern Railway has introduced an OTP-based digital luggage locker facility at four major railway stations in Delhi, giving passengers a convenient option to store their bags during long waiting periods or while visiting the city.

The facility is being introduced at New Delhi, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Delhi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal. It is currently operational at New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin, while the facilities at Delhi Junction and Anand Vihar Terminal are expected to become operational shortly.
To use a locker, passengers need to enter their mobile number on the screen near the lockers and verify it using an OTP. They can then select the required locker size and storage duration, make the payment digitally and place their luggage inside.
Passengers can retrieve their luggage using the registered mobile number and another OTP verification. After authentication, they can select the release option to open the locker. Payments are supported through digital platforms including Google Pay, Paytm and PhonePe.
At New Delhi Railway Station, the lockers are located in the main hall near Platform 16. At Hazrat Nizamuddin, they are located near the main entrance. The service is available 24 hours a day at both operational locations.
The facility is aimed particularly at tourists, passengers with long gaps between trains and travellers carrying heavy luggage, offering a self-service alternative for temporary baggage storage.
