Air India Express will increase air connectivity between Coimbatore and Mumbai by starting two daily round-trip flights from September 1.

The new services will give passengers in Coimbatore and western Tamil Nadu more options for business and leisure travel.
The airline had announced on August 5 that Coimbatore would be one of six new stations added to its network. The new Mumbai flights will include an early-morning service and a late-night option.
New Flight Timings
The flights will operate as follows:
- IX1793 will leave Mumbai at 5:25 am and reach Coimbatore at 7:20 am.
- IX1794 will depart Coimbatore at 7:50 am and arrive in Mumbai at 10 am.
- IX1795 will leave Mumbai at 7:55 pm and reach Coimbatore at 9:50 pm.
- IX1796 will depart Coimbatore at 10:20 pm and arrive in Mumbai at 12:40 am.
The additional services will provide more flexibility for travellers. With Air India Express joining the route, passengers will have non-stop flights between Coimbatore and Mumbai from Air India, IndiGo and Air India Express.
Boost for Coimbatore Businesses
The new flights are expected to benefit Coimbatore and its surrounding industrial areas, which have strong engineering, textile and manufacturing sectors.
Business groups have welcomed the additional connectivity, saying it will help entrepreneurs, exporters, professionals and tourists.
Coimbatore has limited direct international connectivity, so many passengers depend on one-stop connections through major airports when travelling to Europe, the US, Japan and other international destinations.
Mumbai is an important aviation hub for international travel, making the additional Coimbatore-Mumbai flights useful for passengers looking for easier connections to global destinations.
