LuLu Group Chairman M.A. Yusuff Ali met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on August 6 to discuss the group’s upcoming mega shopping mall project in Gujarat. The proposed development is located at Chandkheda, between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, marking another major expansion of LuLu Group’s retail footprint in India.

During the meeting, Yusuff Ali briefed Amit Shah on the progress and plans for the Gujarat project and expressed gratitude for the Union Minister’s assurance of support for its timely and successful completion. The project is part of LuLu Group’s broader strategy to expand its presence across India’s growing retail and consumer markets.
LuLu Group has been expanding its Indian operations across retail, food processing and logistics, with new investments announced in several states. Its Gujarat plans have previously included a major shopping mall in Ahmedabad, while the group’s wider India expansion strategy includes projects in states such as Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
The Gujarat development is expected to further strengthen LuLu’s presence in India’s organised retail sector and create opportunities across shopping, dining, entertainment and allied services. The project also underlines the group’s long-term commitment to investing in India’s rapidly growing consumer economy.
