India has defended its strategic export policies after Amnesty International alleged that Indian military-related supplies to Israel could be used in operations in Gaza. Responding to the report, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the country’s exports of dual-use goods and technologies are regulated under a strong legal and regulatory framework.
MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said India’s export control system complies with national laws and international commitments, stressing that all exports are subject to strict licensing and oversight mechanisms. The government maintained that its export practices are responsible and consistent with its international obligations.
The response comes amid renewed scrutiny of global arms and dual-use technology exports linked to the Israel-Gaza conflict. India has reiterated that its export control framework is robust and that strategic trade is governed by established legal procedures.
