Adani Power has reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with consolidated net profit rising 47.24% year-on-year to ₹4,866.60 crore.

The company attributed the growth to higher revenues, strong power demand, increased operating capacity and improved tariff realisation.
Consolidated operating revenue rose 28.08% to ₹17,550.43 crore during the quarter, compared with ₹13,702.94 crore in the same period last year.
Power sales under power purchase agreements increased 30.3% to 24.5 billion units, while tariff realisation rose 8.5% to ₹5.95 per kWh. Merchant and short-term realisation also improved 13.1% to ₹7.04 per kWh.
Adani Power’s installed generation capacity increased to 18,330 MW, while consolidated power sale volumes rose 16.9% to 28.8 billion units.
The company also received board approval to raise up to ₹15,000 crore through equity shares or other eligible securities. Its borrowing limit was also increased from ₹75,000 crore to ₹1 lakh crore.
Adani Power said its ongoing capital expenditure programme to expand generation capacity to 45 GW is progressing as planned.
