US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran agreed to never possess a nuclear weapon as part of a developing US-Iran peace framework aimed at easing tensions and advancing future negotiations.

Trump also rejected reports suggesting that Washington would provide hundreds of millions of dollars to Tehran under the agreement, calling the claims “fake news.”
The announcement follows the signing of a preliminary memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. The framework reportedly extends the ceasefire, outlines steps toward reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and links future sanctions relief to Iran’s compliance with nuclear inspections and verification measures.
However, key aspects of the proposed arrangement remain unresolved, including the future of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, the structure of inspections, sanctions relief mechanisms, and broader nuclear restrictions.
US officials have indicated that any future economic benefits for Iran would be tied to verifiable commitments on nuclear compliance and regional security. The agreement is expected to undergo further negotiations before a formal signing.
