Narendra Modi has completed 12 years in office, marking a significant milestone in one of the longest-serving tenures by an Indian Prime Minister in recent decades.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister highlighted major initiatives and achievements undertaken by his government across infrastructure development, welfare delivery, digital transformation, economic reforms, manufacturing, healthcare, and national security.
The government emphasized flagship programmes including Digital India, Make in India, PM Gati Shakti, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, UPI-based digital payments, and large-scale infrastructure expansion covering highways, railways, airports, and ports.
Over the past decade, India has also witnessed significant growth in digital services, financial inclusion, renewable energy capacity, startup creation, and public infrastructure investments.
The government stated that its focus remains on accelerating economic growth, improving ease of living, strengthening social welfare delivery, and positioning India as a leading global economy.
The 12-year milestone comes as India continues to pursue ambitious goals in manufacturing, technology, clean energy, defence production, and infrastructure modernization under its long-term development agenda.
Supporters view the period as one of transformative governance and large-scale reforms, while critics continue to debate the impact of various policy decisions on employment, social welfare, and economic outcomes.
The anniversary serves as a moment to reflect on the government’s achievements, challenges, and priorities as it enters the next phase of its administration.
