Apollo Hospitals has announced a major consolidation in its women’s healthcare business by merging its maternity and fertility operations with Cloudnine Hospitals, in a deal valued at ₹1,550 crore for AHLL’s standalone Mother & Child and fertility verticals.

Under the agreement, Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited (AHLL), a subsidiary of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, is combining its “Apollo Cradle” and “Apollo Fertility” units with Kids Clinic India Limited, which operates under the Cloudnine brand. The move is aimed at building one of India’s largest integrated platforms for maternity, fertility, and child care services.

After the merger, AHLL will hold a 9.9% equity stake in the combined entity and will also become the largest non-financial shareholder, with board representation in the new structure. The combined network will expand to over 55 centres across India, strengthening reach and service capacity in the segment.

The companies said the deal is designed to improve operational efficiency, expand scale, and unlock synergies within the women’s healthcare ecosystem. It also reflects Apollo Hospitals’ broader strategy of focusing on specialised healthcare segments with strong long-term demand.

However, the transaction will require regulatory approval, including clearance from the Competition Commission of India, which remains a key factor for timely completion.

The announcement highlights growing consolidation in India’s maternity and fertility care space, with established healthcare brands joining forces to build larger, more specialised platforms.
