N. Chandrababu Naidu has urged Royal Enfield to begin production within 18 months at its proposed manufacturing facility near Tirupati.
According to reports, the Andhra Pradesh government is fast-tracking support for the project as part of broader efforts to attract large-scale manufacturing investments and strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem.
The proposed Royal Enfield unit is expected to boost production capacity while generating employment opportunities and supporting ancillary industries in the region. Industry observers say the project could further position Andhra Pradesh as an emerging automobile and advanced manufacturing hub.
Officials believe the investment will contribute to economic growth, supply chain development, and infrastructure expansion around Tirupati and nearby industrial corridors.
The move also reflects increasing competition among Indian states to attract major automotive and manufacturing projects through infrastructure support, industrial policies, and faster project clearances.
