Foxconn is set to establish Uttar Pradesh’s first semiconductor park in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority region near Greater Noida, marking a major push toward advanced electronics manufacturing in North India.

The proposed semiconductor park will reportedly be developed across nearly 48 acres in Sector 28 with an estimated investment of around ₹4,000 crore. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reviewed the project and directed officials to ensure world-class technology standards and timely execution.
Officials say the project is expected to create nearly 3,000 direct and indirect jobs while helping Uttar Pradesh emerge as a major hub for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. Experts believe the development could also attract ancillary industries, supply-chain partners, and global technology investments to the region.
The semiconductor initiative is closely linked to the broader HCL-Foxconn joint venture project, India Chip Pvt. Ltd., which recently began groundwork for an advanced OSAT semiconductor facility in the YEIDA region near Jewar airport.
India has been aggressively promoting semiconductor manufacturing under its national chip strategy aimed at reducing import dependence and strengthening domestic electronics production. Analysts say the Yamuna Expressway corridor is rapidly emerging as a key technology and industrial zone due to strong infrastructure, expressway connectivity, and the upcoming .
