Netflix announced the launch of Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad, expanding its global production and innovation footprint in India—a key market for the streaming giant’s growth. The 32,000-square-foot facility is the fifth global hub for Eyeline, joining locations in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul, and London, and complements a smaller office in Mumbai.

The Hyderabad studio represents a major long-term investment in India’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) ecosystem. Netflix plans to integrate it fully into its global production network, contributing to high-end visual storytelling, virtual production, and next-generation production technologies.
The office was inaugurated by Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy alongside senior officials from the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Eyeline CEO Jeff Shapiro, and actor-producer Rana Daggubati. Reddy highlighted Hyderabad’s role as a global gateway for talent and creative opportunities, while Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos emphasized India’s dynamic storytelling market and the government’s goal of creating 2 million AVGC jobs by 2030.
Jeff Shapiro noted that Hyderabad was chosen for its strong technology infrastructure, engineering talent, and vibrant film culture. The city’s creative and technical workforce forms the foundation for Netflix’s vision of long-term production and innovation capabilities in India.
The Hyderabad campus will offer state-of-the-art facilities for advanced visual effects, generative virtual effects, and hybrid cloud-based production. Eyeline plans to hire specialized VFX talent from India, fostering collaboration, creativity, and employee well-being. This investment anchors Netflix’s global production capabilities in India and strengthens the country’s position as a major hub for AVGC work.
Officials pointed out that Netflix’s move signals confidence in Indian creative talent and aligns with government efforts to skill the workforce for a growing AVGC industry. Rana Daggubati added that the initiative demonstrates Hyderabad’s progress as a global center for storytelling and creative opportunities.
