India’s premier beachside startup festival, Huddle Global 2025, organized by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), kicked off at The Leela Kovalam, celebrating the vibrant growth of India’s startup ecosystem with Kerala at its core.

The three-day event blends expert panels, product expos, and an all-India hackathon with attractive prizes, while offering startups mentorship, funding, and networking opportunities.
Finance Minister KN Balagopal, speaking at the inaugural session on ‘Vision 2031 – Kerala’s Knowledge Economy,’ highlighted Kerala’s strides in digitalization, AI, automation, and logistics. He pointed to the Vizhinjam-Kollam-Punalur triangle as a strategic hub for ports, industry, and inland connectivity, driving growth in electronics, clean tech, and food processing sectors.
Balagopal emphasized initiatives like new digital and science parks to attract global tech firms, research labs, and universities focused on AI, robotics, semiconductors, and food technologies. He also noted the recapitalization of Kerala Financial Corporation to strengthen KSUM’s grant and seed funding programs and support private venture capital for scaling startups.
The Minister unveiled Incubators, Accelerators and Startups, a book by K C Chandrasekharan Nair, and honored animation pioneer Suresh Eriyat, winner of the Annecy International Animation Festival award, alongside Mr. P Jayakumar, CEO of Toonz Animation.
Shri Seeram Sambasiva Rao, Special Secretary (Electronics & IT), highlighted Kerala’s talent advantage, combining expertise in AI, engineering, data, and cybersecurity with affordable costs and high retention rates, creating a high-performing workforce for industry partners.
German Ambassador Dr. Philipp Ackermann stressed global innovation collaboration, noting that India-Germany partnerships can drive cross-border startup growth.
KSUM CEO Anoop Ambika urged entrepreneurs to leverage Huddle Global for insights, connections, and opportunities, while Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu emphasized Kerala’s deep talent pool and quality of life as key to building domestic wealth and sustainable innovation.
The festival hosts over 3,000 startups, 200+ HNIs, 100+ mentors, 150 speakers, and corporate exhibitors. The December 12-14 expo showcases next-gen technologies across EduTech, HealthTech, FinTech, Life Sciences, SpaceTech, AI/ML, Blockchain, Robotics, AR/VR, IoT, GreenTech, and e-Governance.
Highlights include humanoid robots, autonomous drones, sustainable energy solutions, biomedical devices, and smart city innovations, all aimed at solving global challenges. Huddle Global 2025 also focuses on funding, novel business models, and leveraging emerging technologies to accelerate startup growth.
