At the TN Rising investment conclave on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin witnessed the signing of 158 MoUs worth a total of Rs 43,844 crore, promising the creation of 1,00,709 jobs across the state.
Among the deals, Sakthi Aircraft Industries announced plans to set up a state-of-the-art two-seater trainer aircraft manufacturing unit in Tirupur district. The Rs 500 crore investment is expected to generate 1,200 high-skilled jobs, marking the first facility of its kind in Tamil Nadu.
“During the TN Rising Coimbatore Conclave, Sakthi Aircraft signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin, unlocking a breakthrough moment for India’s aviation future,” the state government said. Officials added that the project would position Tamil Nadu at the forefront of India’s aerospace growth, with homegrown innovation driving national ambitions.
In another development, Cingularity Aerospace will establish an advanced drone manufacturing facility in Krishnagiri district with a Rs 50 crore investment. The project is expected to create 500 high-skilled jobs and further strengthen Tamil Nadu’s expanding aerospace, UAV, and defence manufacturing ecosystem.
