The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) of the North Eastern Railway (NER) has announced a recruitment drive for Apprentices. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official RRC NER website at https://ner.indianrailways.gov.in. The application window opened on October 16, 2025, and will remain open until November 15, 2025. Applicants are advised to have a valid mobile number and email ID before starting the registration process.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,104 Apprentice positions across the organization. Candidates must have completed their 10th standard or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks. Additionally, they should hold a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade issued by either the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).
Applicants must be between 15 and 24 years of age as of October 16, 2025. Age relaxations are applicable: up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The application fee is ₹100 for general candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, and women candidates are exempt from payment.
Selection will be based on the candidate’s 10th-grade marks and ITI scores in the relevant trade. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and must pass a medical examination to confirm their fitness for the role.
To apply, candidates should visit the official RRC NER website, register, and log in to complete their application. Each applicant is allowed to apply for only one unit, and submitting multiple applications will lead to disqualification. Accuracy of information is crucial, as any false details will result in rejection. After submission, candidates should print a copy of the application for their records. Eligible candidates will be contacted for document verification once the selection process progresses.
