Zappyhire began in 2018 when Deepu Xavier and K.S. Jyothis decided to leave their corporate jobs. They spent a day in a small hotel in Cherai discussing ideas and planned everything in one day, investment, first customers, product features, team size, and expansion. The next day, they quit their jobs and started the journey.

Why Zappyhire

They wanted to solve the slow, manual recruitment processes they had seen during their 14 years in the industry. Companies of all sizes struggled with hiring efficiently, and automating these steps could save a lot of time and effort.

Zappyhire success story

Early Steps

They started small, taking guidance from NASSCOM and hiring a freelancer. Federal Bank became their first client, and inspiration for an automated interviewer came from a Volvo ad. Baby Memorial Hospital became their first investor, giving them the confidence to grow.

Building in Kerala

They chose Kerala for its supportive ecosystem. Local help from KSUM and other networks allowed them to build a strong team. Feedback from early clients encouraged them to improve the product and bring in more customers.

Products Today

Zappyhire has two main products: Zappyhire for full recruitment automation and ZappyVue for automating initial candidate screening. ZappyVue handles candidate interaction and evaluation without humans. It now serves clients like Absa Bank (Mauritius), Maruti Suzuki, 99acres, and upGrad. Over 80 companies use their solutions, and the team has grown to 40 employees.

Looking Ahead

The company continues to explore AI-driven hiring and keeps improving its products while working with global clients, growing step by step.
