In a major step toward transforming Kerala’s industrial and logistics landscape, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the Adani Logistics Park in Kalamassery, Kochi, on Saturday. The ₹600 crore project, part of the Invest in Kerala initiative, spans 70 acres and is being developed by Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd.
Strategically located near the Cochin Port and upcoming Vizhinjam Transhipment Hub, the park is positioned to enhance multimodal logistics, enabling smoother cargo movement and supporting sectors like e-commerce, FMCG/FMCD, pharma, automotive, and retail.
Equipped with EV charging stations, smart logistics solutions, and digital integration, the facility reflects the Adani Group’s focus on sustainability and innovation. The project is expected to generate over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs, boost local MSMEs, and reduce transportation costs.
Speaking at the event, Ashwani Gupta, CEO of Adani Ports & SEZ, called the initiative a symbol of “vision, progress, and shared aspirations for Kerala’s vibrant future.” The project also underscores the group’s larger ₹30,000 crore investment plan for Kerala announced by MD Karan Adani at the Kerala Global Investors Summit 2025.
Industry experts say Kochi’s emergence as a logistics hub is in sync with India’s broader push to recalibrate global supply chains and develop world-class infrastructure and trade competitiveness.
With seamless air-sea-land connectivity, via Trivandrum International Airport, Vizhinjam Port, and now the Adani Logistics Park, Kerala is poised to become a major player in India’s future logistics economy.
