The Indian government has issued official notices to several e-commerce platforms for listing and selling Pakistani flags and related merchandise online. The action was taken on May 14, following concerns about the availability of such items on platforms accessible to Indian consumers.

Union Minister Calls It Insensitive
Union Minister for Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi announced the move on social media, stating that the sale of Pakistani flags in India reflects insensitivity and will not be tolerated. He added that platforms have been instructed to remove such listings immediately and comply with Indian laws.
Companies Named in the Notice
Notices were sent by the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) to Amazon India, Flipkart, Ubuy India, Etsy, The Flag Company, and The Flag Corporation. The platforms have been asked to take down all related merchandise without delay.Government Cites Violation of National Laws
