India Denies Targeting Sports Infrastructure
India’s defence ministry clarified that its operations targeted Pakistan’s air defence systems in response to an attempted attack on multiple Indian locations. There was no mention of sports venues being involved in any strikes.
Safety Concerns Among Pakistani Players
The move comes as fears among Pakistani players increased following India’s Operation Sindoor, which reportedly targeted terrorist sites in Pakistan. With security concerns mounting, the Pakistan Cricket Board decided to shift the remaining matches to ensure player safety.
