Award-winning distillery Radico Khaitan has introduced a new variant of Rampur Indian Single Malt Whisky, named Barrel Blush, at Whisky Live Paris 2024 on September 28. This latest offering will soon be available across Europe, the UK, and the US, according to the Indian IMFL maker. The Rampur Barrel Blush is set to hit retail shelves in fall 2024, priced at $105 (Rs 8,800).
Craftsmanship and Flavor Profile
The Rampur Barrel Blush is a distinguished single malt whisky crafted in India, embodying both tradition and expert craftsmanship. Its complex flavour profile begins with maturation in American Bourbon barrels, infusing the whisky with notes of vanilla, oak, and soft spices. The whisky then undergoes a final finishing in Australian Shiraz wine casks, which adds layers of ripe berries, dark fruit, and a subtle tannic finish, resulting in a bold and balanced expression. This innovative creation promises a sensory journey, where each sip reveals new layers of depth and complexity.
Showcasing Innovation
The international spirits tasting event, running from September 28 to 30 at La Grande Halle de La Villette in Paris, provides a platform for the launch. Sanjeev Banga, President of International Business at Radico Khaitan, stated, “The release of Rampur Barrel Blush highlights our commitment to innovation and excellence, offering us the opportunity to showcase our craftsmanship to whisky enthusiasts worldwide.”
Kunal Madan, Vice President of International Business at Radico Khaitan, emphasised the significance of Whisky Live Paris 2024 in presenting new releases. He noted, “We have poured our passion into this blend, meticulously experimenting with unique maturation techniques to create a whisky that authentically reflects our heritage.” The company has yet to announce when the Rampur Barrel Blush will be available in India.
