Guinness World Record
The certificate from Guinness World Records proclaims Chiranjeevi the “most prolific film star in Indian Film Industry – actor/dancer,” and this recognition comes on 20 September 2024. Chiranjeevi was unprepared for the accolade of Guinness World Records, and he said, “I never thought I would get Guinness World Records. Of course, dance has become a part of my life throughout my film career.”
A Career Spanning 45 Years
Chiranjeevi has acted for 45 years, doing 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs in 156 films. His acting career started on 22 September 1978 when he began debuting in films. He has been a house-hold name in Indian cinema and Telugu film industry ever since.
Superstar Aamir Khan, who was gracing the function, went on to appreciate Chiranjeevi, who is more of an elder brother to him. Even by Khan’s admission, it can be witnessed how much Chiranjeevi enjoys dancing, which earns him the legendary status.
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy wished Chiranjeevi on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “His recognition is a moment of pride for the Telugu-speaking community. He had a huge influence and such a legacy in South Indian cinema.”.
He worked with more than 150 feature films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada.
