Indian Railways has launched a new premium linen collection designed to significantly improve passenger comfort. This collection features ultra-soft, breathable fabric and increased durability, aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience for rail passengers.

Collaborative Development and Design

The new linens were developed through extensive research and development by Indian Railways, in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards. They are sourced from globally recognized brands to ensure top-notch comfort and a travel experience comparable to the hospitality industry.

Initial Rollout and Availability

The upgraded linen was first introduced on the Ranchi Rajdhani Express on August 14, 2024. It will also be available on the Bilaspur Rajdhani Express starting August 17, 2024. The rollout is currently in a trial phase, with plans to expand based on passenger feedback.

Future Plans

Indian Railways will assess the success of this new linen collection through passenger feedback. Depending on the response, the new linens may be rolled out more broadly across various trains in the network.
