Aryaman Vikram Birla, the son of billionaire industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla, began his journey in the spotlight as a cricketer. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh in the 2017-18 season. His talent earned him a spot with the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2018. According to ESPN Cricinfo, Aryaman played nine first-class matches, accumulating 414 runs, including a century and a half-century. He also scored 36 runs in four List A matches. In 2019, he took a break from cricket to focus on his mental health.

Transition to Business

Beyond the cricket field, Aryaman has carved out a significant niche in the business world. He has joined the boards of Grasim Industries and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, both prominent companies within the Aditya Birla Group. In Mumbai, he has launched a unique club named ‘Jolly’s,’ designed to bring together successful individuals from various fields. Additionally, Aryaman’s passion for dogs led him to establish ‘The Pawstar Company,’ a specialty store catering to pet needs.

Education and Personal Life

Born on July 9, 1997, Aryaman Vikram Birla has pursued a degree in commerce through distance learning from the University of Mumbai. In 2023, he was appointed as a director of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail. His diverse interests and business acumen highlight his role in continuing the legacy of the Birla family’s extensive business empire.

The Birla Legacy

The Aditya Birla Group, under the leadership of his father Kumar Mangalam Birla, stands as one of India’s largest and most prestigious conglomerates. With a valuation exceeding $100 billion (approximately Rs 8.3 lakh crore), the group spans various sectors, reflecting its longstanding influence and success.

Aryaman Vikram Birla’s journey from cricket to business illustrates his ability to navigate different fields and contribute meaningfully to his family’s renowned enterprise.
