Application Process
- Form Submission: Applications must be typed in English or Hindi and should include a recent passport-sized photograph, self-attested. Applicants must also include self-attested copies of supporting documents and a self-addressed envelope with a Rs 10 stamp.
- Addressing the Envelope: Clearly state the position and category for which you are applying. Use the following format on the envelope:
- “Application for the post of [Post Name] and category [Category]”
- Additional Photos: Attach two passport-sized photographs identical to the one on the application form.
- Deadline: The application period started on August 3 and will end on September 3. Late submissions will not be considered.
General Instructions
- Applications received past the deadline will be disregarded.
- The IAF will not be liable for any postal delays.
- The respective unit will pre-screen applications based on age, qualifications, and documents before scheduling candidates for tests.
- Details of the exam, skill test, practical test, or physical test centers will be communicated later and may differ from the application address.
Educational Qualifications
- Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Intermediate degree and typing skills in English with a minimum speed of 35 words per minute (WPM).
- Hindi Typist: 12th grade completion and typing skills in Hindi with a minimum speed of 30 WPM.
- Driver: 10th grade completion, Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) or Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) licence, and at least 2 years of driving experience.
Selection Process
- Written Test: All candidates for LDC, Hindi Typist, and Driver positions will undergo a written exam. The schedule for the exam will be announced later.
- Skill/Practical/Physical Test: Those who pass the written test will be invited to undergo a skill, practical, or physical test.
Syllabus
- LDC/Hindi Typist: General Intelligence, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness.
- CMTD: General Intelligence, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness, and Trade/Post-related questions.
The question paper will be available in both English and Hindi.
