Rashami Desai, a prominent figure in the Indian television industry, recently revealed the harrowing period she endured following her divorce from actor Nandish Sandhu. In a candid conversation with Paras Chhabra on his podcast, Desai shared that she faced a severe financial and emotional crisis after her split.

Homeless and in Debt

Rashami Desai Desai recounted sleeping in her Audi A6 for four days during this tumultuous time. She had accumulated a significant debt, estimated between Rs 3.25-3.5 crore, due to a recent house purchase and a stalled show. Her debt was exacerbated by the closure of her television project, which left her struggling financially.

Struggling for Survival

The actress detailed her extreme financial hardship, stating that she subsisted on meals costing just Rs 20, typically consisting of daal, chawal, and rotis, sometimes with stones mixed in. She explained that she was isolated from her family and friends, further compounding her distress.

Emotional Toll

Rashami Desai Desai also touched on the emotional impact of her situation. Feeling misunderstood and unsupported by her family and friends, she described a period of intense stress and despair, where she even contemplated death as an escape from her overwhelming problems.

Career and Resilience

Despite these challenges, Rashami Desai Desai continued to work relentlessly to manage her debts and improve her situation. Known for her roles in popular shows like Uttaran, Dil Se Dil Tak, and Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, Rashami Desai’s resilience through this difficult time highlights her strength and determination in overcoming adversity.
