Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor made a striking appearance at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, accompanied by his wife, Alia Bhatt. Kapoor donned an intricately embroidered black sherwani set, complemented by a luxurious Patek Philippe watch, which caught the attention of many.
An Instagram page, Celebrity Watch Spotter, revealed details about Ranbir’s extravagant accessory. The watch, from Patek Philippe’s 5271P collection, is a manually wound timepiece that pays homage to the brand’s renowned Grand Complications line. It boasts a black dial, a sleek black alligator strap, and a sophisticated calendar mechanism.
Adding to the watch’s opulence, the jewellery version of Kapoor’s chronograph features 58 baguette-cut emeralds around the bezel and lugs, a single emerald at the 12 o’clock position, and 22 more on the clasp, totaling 81 baguette-cut emeralds. The retail value of this exquisite piece is USD 700,000, approximately ₹6 crore.
Anant Ambani, known for his impressive watch collection, also showcased his penchant for luxury timepieces at the wedding. During a puja ceremony preceding the wedding, he wore a red carbon Richard Mille watch (RM 12-01 Tourbillon), valued at ₹6.91 crores (USD 828,000).
In a generous gesture, Anant gifted his groomsmen, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and members of the DDC (Dudh Ke Dhule Huye Chokre) boys led by Veer Pahariya and Meezaan Jafri, limited edition Audemars Piguet watches. These 18k rose gold Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar watches, named the ‘Luminary Edition,’ feature a rose gold dial with black sub-dials. Commissioned by Anant, each watch retails at USD 105,000 (₹87,69,000), with the market price standing at ₹2,08,79,000.
