Jeff Bezos has reclaimed his position as the world’s richest person. According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the Amazon founder’s net worth has surged to USD 205 billion (approximately Rs 1,707,440 crore), surpassing France’s Bernard Arnault, who now holds the second spot with a net worth of USD 203 billion (around Rs 1,690,370 crore).
This change comes amid a broader trend of declining net worths among the world’s top billionaires. Many prominent figures, including India’s Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, have seen substantial drops in their fortunes.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries and Asia’s richest man, experienced a USD 1.5 billion decrease in his net worth, placing him 12th on the global list with USD 110 billion (Rs 916,220 crore). Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, follows closely at 13th, with a net worth of USD 106 billion (Rs 882,900 crore).
Tesla CEO Elon Musk holds the third position with a net worth of USD 202 billion, while Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg ranks fourth with USD 169 billion. Other notable billionaires include Larry Page at fifth with USD 156 billion, Bill Gates at sixth with USD 152 billion, and Steve Ballmer at seventh with USD 148 billion. Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, is eighth with USD 147 billion, followed by Oracle’s Larry Ellison at ninth with USD 138 billion and Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffet at tenth with USD 133 billion.
