Archana P Stalin is an entrepreneur with a passion for organic farming and sustainable living. Despite facing setbacks early in her entrepreneurial journey, Archana persevered, learning valuable lessons along the way. Graduating with a degree in Geoinformatics from the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, Archana made a bold decision to marry her college classmate, Stalin Kalidoss, at the young age of 21, defying familial opposition. This decision marked a turning point in her life, setting her on a path of determination and independence.
In 2012, Archana co-founded Geoverge, a geospatial company, with her husband. Although the venture faced challenges and ultimately closed within two years, Archana embraced the experience as a learning opportunity, understanding that failure is an integral part of the entrepreneurial journey. Following this setback, Archana explored various professional avenues, including a stint at NativeLead Foundation in Madurai, where she served as Head of Programs, promoting entrepreneurship in Tier II and Tier III cities in Tamil Nadu.
However, it was her passion for organic farming and sustainable agriculture that truly ignited Archana’s entrepreneurial spirit. In 2016, she embarked on a new venture, founding myHarvest Farms, a farm-to-home platform aimed at empowering Indian farmers and providing consumers with fresh, organic produce. Starting with terrace gardening, Archana and her husband later expanded to lease a two-acre farmland, establishing Vembu Farms in Sembedu village, Tiruvallur district.
Under Archana’s leadership, myHarvest Farms experienced remarkable growth, delivering organic produce to over 800 customers in Chennai. The company’s turnover surged from Rs 8 lakh in the first year to an impressive Rs one crore in subsequent years. Archana’s vision for myHarvest Farms extends beyond profitability; she aims to positively impact the lives of farmers and consumers alike, promoting eco-friendly living and accessibility to safe, nutritious food.
