Japanese automaker Honda is making a significant move in the Indian automobile market with the launch of its mid-sized SUV, the Honda Elevate. This latest addition expands Honda’s portfolio in India, alongside existing models like the City and Amaze. Priced competitively between ₹11 lakh and ₹16 lakh, the Elevate is set to challenge other popular SUVs in its segment, such as the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

Honda Elevate: A Competitive Edge

Variants and Pricing

The Honda Elevate arrives in India with a diverse range of options, offering eight different variants, including four manual and four automatic transmissions. This versatility ensures that potential buyers have a broad spectrum of choices to suit their preferences and needs. The pricing starts at an enticing ₹11 lakh, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers, and extends up to ₹16 lakh for the top-end model.

Competition in the Indian Market

Honda has strategically positioned the Elevate to take on fierce competition in the Indian SUV market. Rivals like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara have already established themselves as popular choices among Indian consumers. With its competitive pricing and well-rounded features, the Elevate aims to carve out its niche in this competitive landscape.

Design and Color Options

The Honda Elevate boasts an eye-catching design with a prominent, shiny grille at the front and a robust, muscular body. Its design draws inspiration from the globally launched Honda CR-V in 2022. In terms of personalization, buyers can choose from a range of color options, including monotone choices like Meteoroid Gray, Golden Brown, Lunar Silver, Obsidian Blue, Phoenix Orange, Platinum White, and Radiant Red. Additionally, dual-tone options like Phoenix Orange with a Crystal Black roof, Radiant Red with a Crystal Black roof, and Platinum White with a Crystal Black roof provide further customization possibilities.

Power and Performance

Under the Hood

Powering the Honda Elevate is a 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine, a trusted powerplant also found in Honda’s City sedan. This engine generates 119 bhp of power and a peak torque of 145.1 Nm, ensuring a satisfying driving experience with ample power for city commutes and highway drives alike.

Feature-Packed Interior

Advanced Infotainment

Inside the Elevate, Honda has left no stone unturned when it comes to features. The cabin showcases a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, providing a high-tech hub for entertainment, navigation, and connectivity. This large screen is complemented by a 7-inch HD TFT display that offers clear and detailed information to the driver.

Comfort and Convenience

To enhance the driving experience further, the Elevate comes equipped with automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, and cruise control. These features not only make the drive more comfortable but also add a touch of luxury to the SUV.

Safety Features

Comprehensive Safety Suite

Safety is paramount in any modern vehicle, and the Honda Elevate doesn’t disappoint. It comes with an array of safety features, including six airbags to protect occupants in case of a collision. Additionally, the Elevate boasts a reverse parking camera, which aids in maneuvering in tight spaces.

Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS)

One of the standout features of the Elevate is its advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). This suite includes lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, road departure mitigation system, and collision mitigation braking, among others. These features not only enhance safety but also contribute to a more comfortable and convenient driving experience.

With the launch of the Honda Elevate, the Japanese automaker has positioned itself as a strong contender in India’s competitive SUV market. Offering a compelling combination of affordability, style, performance, and safety features, the Elevate is poised to attract a wide range of consumers looking for a versatile and feature-rich SUV. As Honda expands its presence in India, the Elevate promises to be an exciting addition to the brand’s lineup, catering to the diverse needs of Indian car buyers.
