South Korean electronics giant Samsung has reported an overwhelming response from Indian consumers, with over 100,000 pre-bookings received in the first 28 hours for its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Fold5. These highly anticipated foldable smartphones were announced on July 26, and pre-bookings in India began on July 27. The official release date for the devices in India is set for August 18.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 features a 3.4-inch cover display with a customizable Flex Window interface, supporting widgets and gesture navigation. The device introduces an improved hinge mechanism called Flex Hinge, allowing the phone to fold flat, a feature not found in previous flip-style models. The foldable display is a 6.7-inch Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The phone is equipped with dual 12-megapixel camera sensors on the back and a 10-megapixel camera sensor on the front. The Fold5 features the Flex Hinge for a flat folding experience. It includes a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. The front features a 10-megapixel camera sensor on the cover and a 4-megapixel camera sensor on the inner display.
