South Korean electronics giant Samsung has reported an overwhelming response from Indian consumers, with over 100,000 pre-bookings received in the first 28 hours for its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Fold5. These highly anticipated foldable smartphones were announced on July 26, and pre-bookings in India began on July 27. The official release date for the devices in India is set for August 18.

The device introduces an improved hinge mechanism called Flex Hinge, allowing the phone to fold flat, a feature not found in previous flip-style models. The foldable display is a 6.7-inch Full HD+ panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. It includes a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor. The front features a 10-megapixel camera sensor on the cover and a 4-megapixel camera sensor on the inner display.
