The Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) facility, which allows customers to withdraw cash using UPI from the bank’s ATMs, was announced on Monday by Bank of Baroda.
The lender stated, “The first public sector bank to launch this service, Bank of Baroda customers, as well as customers of other participating issuer banks, can withdraw cash from a Bank of Baroda ATM without using their debit card” if they use BHIM UPI, bob World UPI, or any other UPI application enabled for ICCW on their mobile phones. On choosing the choice ‘UPI Money Withdrawal’ at a Bank of Baroda ATM, the client needs to enter the withdrawal sum, post which a QR code is shown on the ATM screen.

The lender explained that the customer will use an ICCW-enabled UPI app to scan the QR code, then use their UPI PIN on their mobile phone to authorize the transaction and withdraw cash from the ATM. Customers can choose which account will be debited using the ICCW functionality if multiple bank accounts are linked to a single UPI ID.

According to Akhil Handa, Chief Digital Officer at Bank of Baroda, the bank’s new ICCW facility allows customers to withdraw cash without using a physical card, making it simple, convenient, and secure.”

Each account can be used for two transactions per day, with a maximum withdrawal limit of Rs.5, 000 per transaction. Over 11,000 Bank of Baroda ATMs are located all over the country.
