Magenta Mobility with the largest EV charging depot in Bengaluru
Magenta Mobility, a clean energy-electric mobility solutions provider, has opened its largest EV charging depot in Bilekahalli, Bengaluru. It is Magenta’s largest charging depot with the capacity to charge up to 70 electric vehicles at a time. 63 AC chargers of 3.3 kW and three DC chargers of 15kW GB/T ensure efficient charging at the new 11,000 sq ft charging depot.
This is Magenta Mobility’s 23rd charging depot in Bengaluru and 35th charging depot in India. The company plans to set up 14 more in the first quarter of FY 2023-24. We have over 600 vehicles in our fleet today and will add 4000 more in the new financial year, said Maxon Lewis, Founder and Managing Director, Magenta Mobility.
The depot is also equipped with street lights, water gutters, rainwater harvesting systems and surveillance cameras enabled through energy saving sensors to facilitate maximum energy usage. A charging depot includes a maintenance shed for vehicle repairs, a storeroom for storing spares and inventory, and basic facilities like drinking water and toilets for drivers. A substation of 315 kVA has also been installed to supply uninterrupted power to the chargers.
