Now if you ask who is the richest person in the world, we can say without hesitation that it is not Elon Musk, but billionaire Bernard Arnault.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk is no longer the world’s richest man; Musk lost his top spot to LVMH’s Bernard Arnault.
The loss in Musk’s personal fortune was attributed to a more than 5 percent drop in Tesla shares on Wednesday, with Musk losing about $1.91 billion in net worth in a single day.
According to the Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires list, Musk’s current net worth is $186.9 billion while Arnold has a personal fortune of $211.2 billion.
Musk overtook Bernard Arnault for the top spot on the global rich list, which he reclaimed earlier this week.
With this, LVMH founder Bernard Arnault regained the title of the world’s richest man. Arnold’s net worth is $187 billion after earnings of $710 million.
The Tesla and Twitter CEO regained his place on the list of the world’s richest people after jumping to $50.1 billion on February 28. With this, Musk’s net worth was $187 billion.
After Musk on the list, there are some individuals that you should watch out for. Following Arnold and Musk are Larry Ellison of Oracle, Jeff Bezos of Amazon and Blue Origin, Bill Gates, a co-founder of Microsoft, and Warren Buffett, a multibillionaire investor. Bezos, Gates, Buffett, and Ellison each have a net worth of $116 billion, $114 billion, $107 billion, and $100 billion, respectively, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
