Mahindra & Mahindra, revealed the concept images of the XUV.e series and the BE series as part of its vision for the future.These were now showcased in India on the eve of India’s first ever Formula E race in Hyderabad.
Mahindra’s upcoming born-electric SUVs have been categorized under two separate brand names, XUV.e and BE.
These new Mahindra electric SUVs will be based on the state-of-the-art INGLO EV platform.
Mahindra XUV.e range includes XUV.e8 and XUV.e9.
XUV.e8 is essentially the electric version of XUV700 and will be the first to be launched, scheduled for December 2024. The Mahindra XUV.e9 is expected to make its market debut In April 2025. It will be a five-seater coupe SUV and will measure 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width and 1,690mm in height. The XUV.e9 will have a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.
Mahindra BE range comprises BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. BE range SUVs are distinguishable by their radical design and have some common features such as C-shaped headlamps and tail lamps and sharp body panelling. The Mahindra BE.05 is said to be launched in India in October 2025 and it will be a coupe SUV with a striking design language. Unlike the BE.05, the Mahindra BE.07 will be a traditional SUV with a boxy design language. It will measure 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,660 mm in height and have a 2,775 mm wheelbase. Finally, we have the Mahindra BE.09 and its expected launch timeline is yet to be revealed. The Mahindra BE.09 will be a four-seater coupe SUV and its other details are yet to be revealed.
These Born-Electric SUVs will be sharing Mahindra’s all-new INGLO platform. It offers a range of advantages such as adaptability to varying body styles. INGLO will be utilizing advanced Blade and Prismatic cell architectures, which will ensure optimal range. Users will benefit from fast charging, with 80% achievable in less than 30 minutes. INGLO will ensure an exhilarating performance, with 0-100 kmph possible in just 5-6 seconds. Safety is another focus area, featuring a fortified passenger cabin and a range of ADAS features.
