Users may soon be able to send photographs in their original quality to other contacts through the WhatsApp messaging service, which is owned by Meta.

Currently, photographs shared over WhatsApp are compressed, producing photos with grain. WaBetaInfo claims that the business is attempting to make it possible to send images in their original quality. A website called WaBetaInfo records the release of new WhatsApp features. The WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.2.11 update contained the feature, which was found by the platform. The messaging app reportedly intends to include a new setting icon within the drawing tool header. Users will be able to customise image quality, including their original quality, using the new icon. They will have more control over the shot quality as a result.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to block users within the chat list and from notifications. The app is reportedly adding two new entry points to block users. The first shortcut is to block a contact by opening the chat option in the chat list. The second option is to block users through the notification received on their phone. In case a user receives a call from an unknown user, he/she will be able to block them right from the app notification.

With these two new WhatsApp shortcuts for blocking users, it will be simpler to block shady contacts without having to check their chats. Beta testers who downloaded the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.2.10 upgrade can use the new shortcuts. The most recent beta is offered on the Google Play Store. Other users should start receiving it in the upcoming weeks.
