A new Hindu temple in Dubai that beautifully blends Indian-Arab architecture is going viral. Built at a cost of around 60 million dirhams ($16 million/approx. 130 crores), the temple can accommodate a thousand worshipers at a time. The 70,000 square feet temple was built adjacent to the Guru Nanak Darbar at Jebel Ali. More than 900 tons of steel, 6,000 cubic meters of concrete and 1,500 square meters of marble were used for the construction of the temple. The interior and front arches of the temple are inspired by the traditional style of the Somanatha Temple in Gujarat. The main dome is similar to the Hindu temples of North India. There are 16 deities enshrined in the temple and darshan is registered through online. The construction of the largest temple in the Emirates was completed in 3 years.
