Saudi Arabia plans a new national carrier
It is likely to be named “RIA”
It will be based out of the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh
The aim is to boost tourism in the region
Saudi Arabia will require a $30 bn investment for the project
It will create a network of over 150 routes
The focus will be on Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia
RIA will compete with UAE’s Emirates Airlines
