Reliance Jio became the top bidder in India’s 5G spectrum auction. It acquired spectrum in 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3300MHz, and 26GHz bands. The spectrum bands are obtained at the cost of Rs88,078 crore. It is for a period of 20 years. The acquisition will let Jio build the world’s most advanced 5G network. It will strengthen India’s global leadership in wireless broadband connectivity. The 5G network will further allow the next generation of digital solutions. It will accelerate India’s goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy.
