Ola to shut down its used cars retail business in five cities
They are Nagpur, Visakhapatnam, Ludhiana, Patna, and Guwahati
Ola Cars website does not show any car listings in Nagpur and Visakhapatnam
The other three cities still show a few listings
‘Ola Cars’ was launched in October 2021 across 30 cities
The plan was to scale up to 100 cities by 2022
Ola has been promoting this segment with discounts up to Rs 10,000
The segment receives businesses
However, the company’s expenses in the category are also high
This could have led to shutting down
This comes following the exit of Arun Sirdeshmukh, CEO of Ola Cars
