The centre has introduced a Bharat series (BH-series) registration mark for new vehicles.With the BH series, owners don’t have to re-register their vehicle when they move to a new state.

The BH series notification is applicable only for select vehicle owners. They should be subject to frequent transfers and relocations. It will facilitate the free movement of personal vehicles across states/UTs. The motor vehicle tax will be levied for two years or in multiple of two. After completion of the fourteenth year, the motor vehicle tax shall be levied annually.
