Kerala has crossed 800 pedestrian fatalities this year, prompting the Motor Vehicles Department to start a strict enforcement drive against motorists who ignore pedestrian safety, especially at zebra crossings. Almost half of those killed were senior citizens, highlighting how widespread unsafe driving has become. The department noted that many two-wheeler and four-wheeler users fail to give pedestrians the right of way and often speed through crossings instead of slowing down. Adani Group has moved into the pilot-training business by agreeing to buy a 72.8 percent stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre for about Rs 820 crore. FSTC runs a network of full-flight simulators, training aircraft and pilot-training programs that range from basic licences to type ratings and specialised skills. Its main training hubs are in Gurugram and Hyderabad, along with flying schools in Bhiwani and Narnaul. A joint venture led by Reliance Industries will invest $11 billion over the next five years to develop 1 gigawatt of AI data capacity in Andhra Pradesh, according to the companies and the state government. Bajaj Auto on Wednesday expanded its electric three-wheeler portfolio with the nationwide launch of the Riki e-rickshaw and e-cart, following successful pilot projects in four cities. The company plans to introduce the Riki range in 25 cities, aiming to capture a larger share of India’s rapidly growing e-rickshaw market.
