Pawan Munjal invests in Exponent Energy. Exponent Energy is an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure startup. Pawan Munjal is the chairman of Hero Motocorp. Exponent Energy will set up 100 EV charging stations in Bengaluru. It will also increase its EV battery pack production capabilities. Moreover, Exponent will expand its footprint to other cities. The startup has plans to produce an electric three-wheeler. For that, Exponent will partner with EV manufacturer Altigreen Propulsion.
Emirates is growing as a startup hub. Dubai SME is pivotal in achieving that. The initiative started two decades ago. Since then, it attracted innovative business ideas. The initiative supported the launch of over 11,000 startups. It advised 45,000 entrepreneurs. Now, Dubai’s SME community constitutes 99.2 per cent of Emirates’ total companies. The Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity) will now conduct compliance audits of social media companies every quarter.To tighten the noose on social media platforms, the government has proposed to set up an appellate panel which will have power to overrule decisions taken by social media companies with respect to any grievance. Adani Enterprises arm Adani Road Transport Ltd will acquire a 100% stake in Andhra Pradesh toll roads portfolio (STPL) and 56.8% stake in Gujarat toll roads portfolio (GRICL), from Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund (MAIF).ARTL will acquire 56.8% in GRICL and 100% stake in STPL subject to regulatory approval. The launch of 5G services by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will happen on September 29 and not on Independence Day as planned earlier. The launch will coincide with the opening ceremony of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022. The PM has already inaugurated the country’s first 5G testbed on May 17, which would enable start-ups and industry players to test and validate their products locally and reduce dependence on foreign facilities.
