Hitachi Payment Services and BharatPe have acquired preliminary approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to function as payment aggregators. As a payment aggregator, Hitachi will be able to offer its business-to-business (B2B) clients value-added services and digital payment products like EMI, PayLater, BBPS, and loyalty programmes.By expanding its market, BharatPe would be able to offer options for accepting digital payments. Refrigerators and ceiling fans might cost up to 12% more, or possibly up to 20% more for 5-star rated products, after the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) amended criteria took effect on January 1, 2023. For the first time in the country, ceiling fans are now subject to the nation’s mandated star labelling laws. The Singapore-based parent company of Flipkart Internet, the Indian marketplace division of Flipkart, has invested $90 million (Rs 772 crore) in the company. According to a regulatory filing, the board of Flipkart Internet authorised the resolution to inject cash into the company on December 29 of last year.
