Following several unauthorised Railway information apps, many passengers in Mangaluru and other regions are said to have missed their trains as train operations over the Konkan Railway network switched back to the regular timetable from the monsoon timetable on November 1. In a statement issued , the Palakkad Division of Southern Railway advised travellers to consult the National Train Enquiry System (NTES), which can be accessed online, through an app, or by calling 139. It cautioned users not to use unofficial apps that continue to display monsoon timings for trains running on the KRCL network.
