It started using Electrical Multiple Unit (EMU) trains and mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains .Railways further adopted head-on-generation trains. They reduce noise, air pollution and diesel consumption. Green certification of Industrial units, stations and other railway establishments are other measures. Railways also did the environmental system certification of some railway stations. It also installed waste-to-energy plants. The goal is to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2030.
Truecaller introduces an in-app digital government directory in India. Users can access the contacts of thousands of verified government officials and departments. One can look for helplines, law enforcement agencies, embassies, educational institutes, hospitals etc.Contacts in about 23 states, including union territories, will be available. Truecaller will source the information from official government sources. A blue tick with green background indicates the number is verified. Truecaller says it’s an effort to protect users from scams, fraud, and spam. It will also strengthen people’s trust in digital communication.
