Walmart-owned Myntra is revolutionizing online shopping with its M-Now service, offering 30-minute deliveries for clothes and accessories in Bengaluru without charging customers additional fees. Chief Executive Officer Nandita Sinha shared insights in an interview, highlighting Myntra’s strategy to stay competitive in the growing quick commerce sector.
Myntra’s 30-Minute Delivery Service
M-Now, Myntra’s rapid delivery initiative, launched in Bengaluru, aims to offer swift deliveries at no extra cost to customers. This move sets Myntra apart from other quick commerce players like Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, who typically charge for faster deliveries.
Focus on Customer Convenience
While many companies add a convenience fee for express deliveries, Myntra plans to keep pricing stable for now. Sinha emphasized that the company will assess customer preferences over time to adapt its pricing strategy based on factors like product selection, convenience, and demand.
Third-Party Partnerships for Logistics
Myntra is working with third-party partners for the logistics of M-Now, utilizing their dark stores for faster deliveries. However, the company is not seeking exclusive control of these stores at this early stage, focusing on meeting space and logistical needs as the service expands.
Plans for Expansion
Currently operational in Bengaluru, Myntra’s M-Now service will soon extend to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune. The company also plans to increase the product range available for rapid delivery, aiming to expand from 10,000 items to 100,000 items in the future.
Evolving the Quick Commerce Model
Myntra’s entry into quick commerce follows changing consumer expectations, with more customers preferring faster delivery over the traditional 2-3 day wait. Myntra’s strategy includes expanding its partnerships with existing brand stores to offer a broader assortment while maintaining efficient delivery services.
In this competitive landscape, Myntra is positioning itself as a leader in the quick commerce market, balancing speed with customer satisfaction without additional charges.
