Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a flagship of the Tata Group, stands as a global leader in IT services and consulting. With a remarkable revenue of $27.9 billion in FY23 and a workforce exceeding 600,000 across 50+ countries, TCS continues to set benchmarks under its dynamic leadership.

Transition to Leadership

Krithivasan assumed the role of TCS CEO and Managing Director on June 1, 2023, following Rajesh Gopinathan. Before this, he was the Global Head of TCS’s Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) unit—a cornerstone of the company’s success. His leadership in BFSI strengthened customer ties and drove growth worldwide.

CEO Salary and Compensation

In FY24, Krithivasan earned ₹25.4 crore, covering his transition from Global Head of BFSI to CEO. His predecessor, Gopinathan, earned ₹29.16 crore in FY23, making Krithivasan’s compensation slightly lower but reflective of his significant contributions.

A Veteran at TCS

With over 30 years at TCS, Krithivasan has been instrumental in guiding clients through digital transformations and crafting robust technology strategies. His expertise has cemented TCS’s reputation, particularly in the BFSI sector.

Academic Foundations

Krithivasan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras and a Master’s in Industrial and Management Engineering from IIT Kanpur. His solid educational background complements his extensive industry experience.

Beyond the Boardroom

Outside work, Krithivasan is an avid reader and fitness enthusiast, balancing his professional responsibilities with personal growth and well-being.

Driving Innovation and Growth

As CEO, Krithivasan is poised to build on TCS’s legacy of innovation, steering the company toward continued global leadership and excellence.
