While most children focus on school grades and friendships, Shravan and Sanjay Kumaran have taken a different path. These exceptional brothers became India’s youngest co-founders and CEOs while still in school, making waves in the tech industry.
Early Beginnings and GoDimensions
At ages 10 and 12, Shravan and Sanjay Kumaran launched their company, GoDimensions, from their home in Chennai in 2011. Sanjay took on the role of CEO, and Shravan became the President. Their venture quickly gained recognition, with seven mobile apps that reached users in over 50 countries.
Early Inspiration and Development
Their passion for programming was nurtured by their father, Kumaran Surendran, who introduced them to computers at a young age. By the age of four, the Kumaran brothers were already creating PowerPoint presentations.
Notable Apps and Innovations
Their first major app, Catch Me Cop, was inspired by the traditional Indian game “chor-police.” Other notable creations include Alphabet Board for child education, Emergency Booth for emergency services, Prayer App, and Superhero and Car Racing. In addition to these, they developed 150 test apps.
Educational Achievements and Current Roles
The Kumaran brothers pursued higher education in computer science at Texas A&M University in the US. Currently, Shravan works as a Software Developer at Salesforce in San Francisco, while Sanjay is an intern at Microsoft, as per their LinkedIn profiles. Their early success and dedication to technology continue to set them apart in the industry.
