Kerala Startup Mission’s Relief Efforts
Under the leadership of the Kerala Startup Mission, Kochi, the Startup Square community has initiated a relief effort for Wayanad. Entrepreneurs and Startup Mission staff gathered essential supplies for the affected areas. These supplies, including food items, drinking water, bed sheets, and mattresses, were delivered to the Ernakulam Collectorate before being transported to Wayanad. This drive by the Kerala Startup Mission is serving as an inspiration for others to contribute as well.
Extent of the Disaster
The landslide in Wayanad has caused severe damage, with many lives lost and numerous individuals injured and hospitalized. Those who have lost their loved ones and endured significant hardship are being rescued and housed in relief camps. The global community is coming together to support Wayanad, with aid flowing in from various parts of the world.
Ongoing Relief Efforts
Collection centers have been established across different locations to gather essential supplies for Wayanad. Various organizations and district administrations are working to transport these supplies to the relief camps. Some individuals are also contributing their assistance directly to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
